Tzofim Tzabar – General information
The Israeli Scouts Movement is a youth movement that conducts programs throughout the State of Israel and is currently the largest youth movement in Israel. Since the scouting movement strives to reach each and every Israeli child, regardless of their location, the Tzabar leadership also operates throughout North America in order to reach Israeli youth here. Their activities are based on the morals of the overall scouting movement and are derived from the basic principles of the Israeli youth movement as well.
Educating youth about democracy, tolerance and social responsibility, love for the land of Israel, and the formation of both a strong Israeli and Jewish identity are the main purposes which continually underlined in activities. The “Tzabar” reaches youth, ages 9-18 (grades 3-12). Beyond a social experience, the children and teenagers gain a higher understanding and are equipped with tools aimed to strengthen their bond with Israel and foster and sustain a strong Israeli and Jewish identity.
In order to build a stronger Jewish and Israeli identity, activities are conducted in Hebrew.
Activities take place once a week, on Sunday afternoons.
The Shvatim (tribes/chapters) will have a number of meaningful events and activities throughout the year including a yearly “kickoff” seminar for the older grades (Shachbag), a winter camping experience, ceremonies, and celebrations, and services. In addition, there will be a number of events for the entire group of members in the leadership grade (Shachbag) including a camp for the older grades – “Machane Hadracha”, a seminar for leadership, and more. The Shvatim (tribes/chapters) are run by their counselors, and older scout members, in conjunction with parent associations that are headed by a Chairperson and a Shevet leader.
The scouting activities are aimed at the development of our youth’s intellect, social skills, and morals through activities tailored for specific age groups including personal conversations, careful considerations, various projects, camping experiences, ceremonies, holiday celebrations, music, sports, and of course, lots of fun in the process.
צופים צבר – מידע כללי
תנועת הצופים העבריים היא תנועת נוער ציונית המקיימת פעילות בישראל ומהווה את תנועת הנוער
הגדולה בישראל. מאחר ותנועת הצופים הציבה כמטרה להגיע לכל ילד ישראלי, ללא קשר למקום מגוריו מקיימת תנועת הצופים פעילות גם בצפון אמריקה ב 17 שבטים שונים. הפעילות בצופים צבר בצפון אמריקה מושתתת על הערכים והמטרות החינוכיות של: תנועת הצופים העבריים בישראל : חינוך לחיים דמוקרטיים, סובלנות, אחריות חברתית, אהבת ארץ ישראל וחיזוק הזהות היהודית והישראלית של החניכים
חניכי הנהגת צבר הם בגילאי 9-18 (כיתות ג’ עד יב’) ומעבר לחוויה החברתית החניכים בהנהגה מרוויחים את היכולת לבחון טוב יותר את סוגיית הזהות היהודית והישראלית שלהם ולקבל כלים לחיזוק הקשר שלהם למדינת ישראל וארץ ישראל.
מתוך מטרה לעצב זהות יהודית וישראלית חזקה יותר – הפעילות מועברת בשפה העברית בימי ראשון אחה”צ בין 3-5 . פרטים נוספים על מועדי הפעילויות, הטיולים והמחנות לשנת הפעילות הקרובה בלינק הבא
לשבטים יש מספר אירועים מיוחדים ו”מפעלים” צופיים לאורך השנה: סמינר פתיחת שנה לשכבה הבוגרת, מחנה חורף, טקסים, מסיבות ופעילויות התנדבות נוספות
בנוסף, יהיו במהלך השנה פעילויות לכל השכבה הבוגרת של צופים צבר: מחנה שכבות בוגרות (“מחנה שכב”ג”), סמינר הדרכה ועוד
השבטים מתופעלים על-ידי מדריכים מהשכבה הבוגרת בפיקוח והובלה של וועד הורים שבראשם ראש שבט ומרכז שבט
פעילות הצופים מכוונת לפיתוח האישי של החניכים ברמת המחשבה, הכישורים החברתיים והחוויה האישית דרך פעילויות המותאמות לשכבות הגיל השונות, הכוללות שיחות אישיות, דיונים, פרויקטים מיוחדים, מחנות צופים, טקסים, חגיגת חגים מוזיקה, ספורט וכמובן הרבה הנאה
